Hang in there.
Thanks for the patience.
I'm still 100% determined to get this Internet Radio up and running. I have had a lot going on in the past few weeks, but I still think about this idea every stinkin' day.
Hang in there.
Thanks for the patience.
I've been thinking about this Internet radio thing again. I believe it could work, but I'm going to need a game plan for sure.
I need to finish with this website and try to make it as interesting as possible.
I would very much like to get this thing up and running but I feel I am stuck in the mud.
I can't decide on content.
The light is still on,
it's just very, very dim.
Yes, it's true. I'm losing interest. Not sure exactly how I feel about this.
I will admit, however, when I think about doing this...I think I may want to go solo. Not only solo, but maybe stay in the "Internet shadow". I'm not exactly sure what that means other than I'm going to try and keep a "low-profile".
I won't talk to anybody about this, unless they agree to talk "LIVE" or "RECORDED"...or even both! Who knows?
What I'm saying is that if you're reading this, you're part of the few.
And I do mean "few".
Until next time.
Still not coming up with a theme yet, but I feel that I'm getting closer. Wrote and published on my TryJimmy.WordPress.Com Facebook Fan Page a two-minute filler for the WTRY Internet Radio Station. It gave me a little insight on what direction and what kind of Internet radio station I'd like it to be.
Had a great meeting with my brother, Matthew, today in regards of the Internet radio station. He seems very interested and wants to start-up ASAP. However, again, we have very little to go on right now, but I'm working on that.
I told him he needed a laptop and we needed a desktop computer that's powerful enough to stream the Internet radio station without interruptions (delays, freezing, skipping, etc). and along with some other gear as well.
I like where things are headed.
I'm sort of happy with the streaming that I have recently tested. It's a little slow, but I'm also getting warnings that my laptop computer was moving at a faster rate than what it was used to. I noticed a little bit of a delay using YouTube, but I'm wondering if I could use that as part of the act. I don't know, maybe not.
Voscast is still an option, but that's going to cost money...monthly. It can be as low as $6.95 a month but as much as around $50.00 a month. If going $6.95 a month without a delay will help, I'll pay it. Not a problem.
However, I'm still going to work with YouTube until I find a niche for my Internet radio station.
I've got 24 hours to fill a day/7 days a week.
That's 168 hours to fill.
I have plenty of time to think about it, so.....
Thinking maybe YouTube LIVE may be the way to go. Going to look into that further.
The reason for change of thought is that I'm able to post YouTube videos on the website I'm using FREE of charge.
FREE is GOOD!

Decided to go with VOSCAST. They seem to have the best price for the bitrate & bandwith I can afford - which also includes being unlimited...on BOTH!
That's right! Unlimited bitrate & bandwith, but depending how much Kps you can afford that will depend on the quality on your streaming audio.
Yes, I am still stuck on a theme for my Internet radio station. I'm still going to do it, hopefully I'll come up with one soon, but I have time. Still need to gather a few more fund$ for certain items...you know, microphones, headphones, cables, etc...
You get the idea.
I've been thinking about coming out with my own Internet radio station.
First things first, I need to find a host; a server that can handle the bitrate & bandwith I can afford.
Second, the gear. Of course I'll go the cheapest route but with equipment that has EXACTLY what I need to get "my word out"!
Third, and probably most importantly what to play; talk about.
